I spoke with a client who had booked me, sent over a deposit and contracted for me to perform at her husband's surprise birthday party. This gig was almost 3 hours away from where I lived, and I was well aware of that. I had brought a friend like I normally do to house parties and everything was fine till we go out the exit and traveled some more. Suddenly we were in the woods!! It was really dark and kind of creepy for someone who has always lived in the city. We both were a bit scared...well really scared and were considering if this was a safe gig! So, I called another friend gave her the address to where I was going just in case. I then called the client to tell her I was a bit concerned but that I was 5 minutes away. I listened very carefully for other voices and heard many (phew!). I proceeded with caution (don't forget it was pitch black expect for my head lights). When I got to the house, two beautiful young teenage girls were waiting right outside and as I parked I could see a big crowd roasting marshmallows over the fire.
Finally we were calm and laughed about the spook.
